Juniper EO didn't have it's own thread in the old forum. Here is a post a found about it in the Lemon EO thread...it may have similarities to Lemon. herbs.mxf.yuku.com/reply/27318264/Lemon-Oil-is-Definitely-Psychedelic#reply-27318264" Juniper oil is ~40% pinene / ~30% myrcene / ~10% limonene Sometimes it just stones me, but sometimes it is psychedelic. In that case it is clearly stimulant yet very easy and peacefull, and visuals are presents. We have here the same pinene/limonene combo that is in citrus + myrcene. Maybe that oil could be of use for those who appreciate lemon EO. I prefer making a quid of out the berries over using the oil, but that's probably because I like to chew stuff, I'm a calamus guy." Here's a source: www.mountainroseherbs.com/products/juniper-berry-essential-oil/profileI'm going to order and experiment with it....

I would avoid oral use, it's got a lot of "prickly" chemicals.
Also some contains safrole

Are the prickly chemicals harmful, or would they simply cause an upset stomach? I agree that that doesn't seem to pleasant to eat, but if I use capsules and eat with almond butter, would that not be safe?
Is safrole bad to ingest as well? I have heard it may be carcinogenic as well...at least from sassafras. I want to experiment with sassafras oil as safrole mimics MDMA. However, do you think it is safe for ingestion and/or topical/inhalation methods?

1. The chemicals are harmful, topical and inhalation is fine, no need to risk oral with things like juniper.
2. Every oil taken orally should be mixed 50/50 with olive oil and a bit of peanut butter or almond butter to wash it down capsules or not.
3. "Is safrole bad to ingest as well? I have heard it may be carcinogenic as well...at least from sassafras. I want to experiment with sassafras oil as safrole mimics MDMA. However, do you think it is safe for ingestion and/or topical/inhalation methods?"
Safrole is bad to ingest on its own and requires a complex series of activators to be safe and work.
4. Do not discuss safrole, saffron, sassafras, and or oils and or extracts and or the plants themselves and or anything directly related to them on this forum.
We do not discuss these things here, and we will not be starting now, you are free to ask what can be discussed in pm.
the oil you mention is highly regulated and illegal to possess, do not mention it or things related to it again.

For the record, sassafras wasn't even worth the potential legal trouble. Its effects are nothing like mdma... closer to psilocin, yet weaker and less far-reaching in its benefits.
