I have never ingested or topically applied my rosemary essential oil, but I diffuse it regularly. I also have a rosemary hydrosol that I use for aromatherapy and food as well. For me, smelling the aroma calms me, whilst simultaneously it energizes and enthuses me. I enjoy using it when I have acute anxiety or a racing mind. Overall, the words I'd used to describe its effects are calming, clarifying, and energizing. It's effects are mainly mental for me, but I have felt physically invigorated as well. Any experiences?
I am just getting familiar with EOs and I am wondering if sesame oil could be used as a carrier oil for topical and oral use?

I would never take Rosemary oil orally, only topical or inhalation.
When inhaling take deep breaths through your nose and hold them in for 5 seconds.

Thanks for the response, username. I love diffusing and simple inhalation methods. Why would you not ingest it? Hepatoxicity, indigestion, or something else? I eat dried rosemary all the time, so I was just curious for your reasoning. Thankfully I haven't ingested it yet...

Rosemary oil has a nice mix of camphor and thujone
GABA inhibitors
It is very invigorating. Both camphor and thujone are hepatotoxic, to which extent I'm not sure.
