Toastus may have depleted 5HT1A receptor counts and this should be kept in mind especially considering this is one of the main mechanisms responsible for a considerable chunk of the effects of lemon oil. I experimented with lemon essential oil the other day and it produced no major effects..perhaps some mild unique stimulation but no visuals that I could ascertain. I did notice a peculiar sensation from light as I could see shades of yellow more clearly. I did feel really relaxed, content, and happy. My mind wasn't racing like it normally does; I felt peaceful. Does the pineal gland and its function have any influence in this psychedelic experience? What depletes 5HT1A receptor counts? Since it's connected to well-being could substances like marijuana/alcohol or behaviors such as sex/masturbation decrease the likeliness of a lemon essential trip? Here's my lemon essential oil trip history: 10:30 AM: 40 drops Lemon EO with 40 drops Olive oil rubbed on armpits, legs, belly, and a small amount on temples. 10:45: Inhaled 5 drops of Lemon EO on a rag. It was a nice experience as I could feel the oil tickle my nostrils. 12:00: I hadn't noticed any effects so I decided to take orally. I ingested 40 drops of Lemon EO with 40 drops of olive oil. I then ate some almond butter, but ate no carbs with it. I have seen it mentioned to be eaten with bread, but I have issues with grains so I avoided it. I could always eat with another complex carb like potatoes, yams, or something else. I didn't notice too many effects, but I am willing to try again! Any advice?

Corey,
Did you check if the EO has at least 10% beta-pinene and 10% gamma-terpinene, as username suggests to use? I myself am in the process of experimenting with lemon oil too, but the oil I used had no indication of these percentages. I contacted the company for more details. I would love to use Lemon oil effectively, but so far all tests didnt work yet. The quest continues....

Holy shit that's a lot of lemon oil. I would be tripping balls at that dose.
It's possible that the visuals only occur after the pineal gland has been cleaned up. When I take things to stimulate the pineal gland, they cause visual patterns on the same plane of vision that lemon oil does.
The place to observe these visuals is not the same place as other psychedelics. These visuals occur in your imagination. It literally psychedelifies your mind's eye and allows you to play with the visual energies like a new toy or friend. It strongly amplifies imagination through AMPA receptors, which is functionally the same thing as photographic memory.

Try taking magnesium tablets with food for a few days beforehand and 1 drop peppermint oil sublingual with olive oil for a few days before and on the day of an hour to an hour and a half before dosing lemon.
Orgasm depletes 5ht1A counts strongly.
As does ALMOST EVERY DRUG, cannabis, alcohol, sugar, etc etc
Magnesium upregulates 5ht1A receptors slowly over time returning the enjoyable feeling of "just discovered magic" that most things lose after excessive use.
Peppermint oil will dramatically amplify the reversal of tolerance than magnesium normally does slowly.
Peppermint oil is the fast way, but it's also a hard way because peppermint oil done right makes itself stronger over time and eventually gets to the salvia level.
The key with peppermint is to maintain a balance of not forgetting to use it for to many days and also avoiding using it for to many days without taking a break.
Add lavender oil (not orally or sublingual) topical is fine, vapor is pretty harsh. Diffused lavender oil is great, vapor is higher temp and causes unpleasantness.

Mix a lot of lemon oil with 1 drop peppermint oil then apply to armpits, the peppermint will increase topical absobption.
Yes lemon oil and even lemons and lemon peels will make cannabis and almost anything else more psychedelic or closer to psychedelic.
Don't take magnesium on the day you take lemon oil.

Username,
What do you mean with Salvia level?

If you use peppermint oil to often it will make you feel stress that can build towards the intensity of salvia. So take breaks.
peppermint is like drinking a cold glass of refreshing water. Pure.
Salvia is like being a glass of water that is being drank. It has a purity but it's chemical mechanisms of action are more complex than most appreciate.
I would not say one is better or worse, each person has their preference.
I find peppermint and salvia teach you more about each of them than any one alone could ever impart.

Olive Oil reduces BBB permeability, try using a different carrier oil. One benefit of Olive oil though is the oleic acid forming oleamide and potentiating serotonin receptors causing more psychedelic effects. A lot of oils have oleic acid though.

Im pretty sure Pine Oil has Toluene, which is considered a hallucinogen, but is considered toxic in high doses.
