Bananas have a full dose of tyrosine in just one bite. I never notice it from higher amounts of bananas.

Anyone else hear about aged cheeses like brie and feta causing open eyed visuals in the morning after consuming large amounts before bed?

Cheese has tons of tyramine-related visuals for me. As well as some mu and kappa opioid visuals from the casein, and the set of visuals that calcium causes.

I ate a meal of chicken livers and caramelized onion with mashed potatoes and pickled cactus tonight. About 15 minutes into the meal I noticed a subtle shift in consciousness.
I felt more alert, but calm with no stimulation. My visual perception was slightly altered. The best way I can describe it is that things looked more real. This increase in reality is something that I've often experienced while quidding Aztec tobacco. I felt more vigilant, with a seeming increase in powers of observation. My mood was also somewhat affected. I felt more aggressive but not in an unhappy or angry way.
I felt as though I had been put in a good state of mind for hunting. There was a very primal feel to this experience, despite the fact that it was also very subtle.
I'm pretty certain that this was caused by the liver since all the other parts of the meal were things that I commonly eat. I wonder if this could be due to subconscious autosuggestion though. I've often associated organ meat with hunting. I've never hunted before but have long been fascinated with the idea of eating organ meat from a freshly killed animal. I also feel that this type of meat has a disproportionate psychological effect on most western people, who often dislike it only because of its somewhat taboo status. I was once one of these people.
Does anyone have any idea how eating liver could possibly have a psychoactive effect based on pharmacology and not psychology?

A commonly used herb ive found to be active is Panax Ginseng. It has a cb1 antagonist Falcarinol, but some 5-HT2A activity from a ginsenoside. Ive noticed these effects once after i downed two of those panax ginseng shots you see at the stores and have to admit it had some trippyness to it
